Controversial disc jockey and TikTok personality, Ademola Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Chicken, has reportedly been arrested following comments he made about Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu.
The development was disclosed by his lawyer, Rotimi Stephen, in a video shared online.
According to the lawyer, DJ Chicken was arrested in Ikeja and taken to the police headquarters. He further claimed that officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) may also be involved, alleging that the arrest is linked to a recent video in which the TikTok personality made remarks about the President's son.
In the viral video, DJ Chicken said:
"Tinubu, you can't win the election. If you win, I will kill Seyi Tinubu. I won't say more than that."
Appealing for leniency, Stephen urged DJ Chicken's fans and anyone with access to the Presidency to intervene and help secure his release.
"Please, fans and well-wishers. People that like Chicken and people that are close with the Presidency, please forgive Chicken. He is not that okay. We are just managing him. Chicken is my own personal project. It is my own part of giving back to society," he said.
As of the time of this report, the police and the Department of State Services have not officially confirmed the arrest or commented on the lawyer's claims.
